Let’s Talk

Every commission begins in this same way. Not with a piece of timber or object, but a feeling that over time becomes the making of a dream. At some point, the dream becomes a longing to become a reality and here is where you might like to give words to your dream and share a conversation.

Will understands the space our dreams live in and the people it belongs to. When a client commissions a custom made piece, it is as much about the story it is meant to hold than simply about the object itself. A commission with Will is an active collaboration between all these elements: the craftsman, the client, the vision and the materials that shapes it all.

The Process

For those who’ve never commissioned bespoke furniture before, here is a quick snapshot of how the process of a custom design and built commission generally proceeds.

  • Will listens first. He wants to understand your space, your life, and what you're hoping this piece will become. Base on the information you share, he offers a range of solutions designed to meet your needs. Whether you're just getting started or scaling something bigger, everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • Before anything is built, Will draws by hand. Countless iterations of the idea takes shape and evolves until the design feels right for both maker and client.

  • Where time & project scope permits, a full-scale prototype model in cardboard and ply is built before a single piece of fine timber is touched. This is where you see it in your space. Will’s approach is a combination of thoughtful, human-centered adaptations with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what he does but how he does it that sets him apart.

  • Will works with patience and precision, treating every piece of timber with the reverence it deserves. Throughout the process, he shares progress updates via photos or videos and welcomes visits to the workshop to see the construction in progress

  • White glove delivery ensuring that the utmost care is taken to transport your commission. The installation, if required, takes place with the same careful consideration. Any care and maintenance instructions are shared to ensure the longevity of your commission over the years.
