The custom built chair is handmade from Hoop Ply, PVC, Mother Of Pearl, Paint & Lacquer. Having won one of the categories in the Queensland Furniture Award, the chair has been on the exhibition circuit and has appeared in the Graydon Gallery and Artisan’s Scott Street Exhibit. This beautiful chair is now available for purchase.

The chair was named “Little Cove” in celebration of our love and appreciation of one of our all time favourite surf spots in Noosa, Sunshine Coast! This breathtaking design captures the smooth rolling waves that graduate along this beautiful pristine coastline. Occasionally, your eyes will pick up on the shimmering sunlight reflected off the seam of a wave tip like a streak of ebony white amongst the rolling white. The seat is covered with satin smooth ebony fabric that resembles the fresh morning sand, untouched by anything but the night waves. The rear of the chair is dotted with small circles of Mother of Pearl which resembles the lovely seashells that are found on the beautiful beach of Little Cove.

This stunning, one-of-a-kind piece measures 200 x 112 x 90cm.

Winner of the Queensland Furniture Awards, this designer chair is designed and custom made to order by Will Marx and can be fully customised to any dimension, colour and finish. The chair can also be made in another timber of your preference.

If a new custom piece base on this design is commissioned, the upholstery can be altered to leather (real or imitation), ultra suede, or wool or new fabrics like Sunbrella that are stain-resistant, soil-resistant, water-repellent or waterproof. Alternatively, a fabric of your choice can be sent to us to be used as the upholstery.

Every bespoke piece of work is accompanied by an Artist’s Bill of Sale and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Will Marx certifying that it is an authentic creation designed and handcrafted by the artist himself.

If you wish to purchase this exact piece, it is ready to be shipped within 3 working days. If you require a new chair to be constructed and customised, the current production lead time is 12 to 18 weeks. If you require more than 1 chair or before a certain date, please contact us prior to ordering to discuss.

The shipping costs provided is for a standard delivery service which means that delivery will take place between Monday and Friday, 9am and 5pm. Transit times will vary according to location. Each chair is delivered fully assembled and there is no assembly required. If you have a special requirement on shipping, i.e. weekend delivery, priority delivery etc., please contact us and we will be happy to accommodate.

Every chair comes with a 10 year warranty on construction.
